To apply for a marriage license in person:

You may obtain your Florida marriage license in person at any Florida county courthouse that provides that service. In Broward County a marriage license may be obtained in person only at the following locations. Both bride and groom must appear together. Florida residents must apply at least 3 days prior to their wedding date, unless they have completed a marital course from the approved courthouse list of counselors. Non-Florida residents do not have to wait 3 days to apply. Broward County website does have an on-line form to complete the initial information of date of birth, social security number, etc. Couples must still appear in person for the license even if they submit this online form. This on-line form does not provide any appointment time or give couples any priority when they arrive at the courthouse. The on-line form is optional and the same information can just be filled out in person when couples go for the license.
